"Jasprit Bumrah is the world's best bowler" - Ben Duckett's massive praise for India pacer after his heroics in IND vs ENG 1st test

Ben Duckett scored 62 runs before being bowled by Jasprit Bumrah.
Ben Duckett, the England opener, believes that India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler in the world and that he is tough to deal with when he “comes in down the hill with lights on and swinging both ways” after the Indian speed spearhead tormented the host batsmen in the ongoing first test.
Taking all of the England wickets that fell on day 2, including the dangerous Joe Root, Bumrah (3/48) was outstanding. However, England overcame the early dismissal of opener Zak Crawley (4) to finish the day at 209 for 3, which was in response to India’s 471-run first innings total.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (101), Shubman Gill (147), and Rishabh Pant (134) were the best run-getters for India in their first innings score.
“He’s extremely hard to face”- Ben Duckett showers praise on Jasprit Bumrah
England opener Ben Duckett faced off the Indian bowlers with grace and feasted on poor bowling by Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, while surviving against Jasprit Bumrah. He made 62 runs with nine fours before Bumrah had him playing on to his stumps.
“He (Bumrah) is the best bowler in the world. He’s extremely hard to face, good in any conditions, and when he’s coming in down the hill with the lights on and it’s swinging both ways, it’s tough.“
“His ability to bowl three or four different balls with no cue — you don’t know if he’s bowling a bouncer, or a slow ball, a yorker, an away-swinger, or an inswinger until it comes out of his hand. You’ve got to watch the ball so hard with him, it’s very difficult to pick up Jasprit,” Duckett said after the end of the day’s play.
Under difficult circumstances, Pope produced his tenth test century and led the England comeback after surviving Bumrah’s assault. Duckett claimed the one-drop hitter “stayed true to the way he plays.”
“He (Pope) was just so calm coming out. He probably couldn’t come out in tougher conditions, with Jasprit Bumrah running down the hill with the lights on. I don’t know what’s inside his head, but he’s just stayed true to the way he plays.“
“There’s no better feeling than that, scoring a hundred against that attack, coming out in the first over. You could see it in the way he celebrated, and it didn’t just mean a lot to him; it meant a huge amount in the dressing room as well. I had goosebumps for him,” Duckett signed off.
