Jasprit Bumrah took 86 wickets in 2024 in international cricket.

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was presented with his ICC awards on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium ahead of the India vs Pakistan match at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Bumrah, who is missing the ongoing tournament in Dubai due to a back injury, was at the venue on Sunday where cricket’s fiercest rivalry added another page in its long story.

Before play began, the 31-year-old champion speedster received his four ICC awards. Last month, Bumrah was named as the ICC Men’s Cricketer Of The Year and ICC Men’s Test Cricketer Of The Year, and was named in the ICC Men’s Test Team Of The Year and ICC Men’s T20I Team Of The Year.

Bumrah absolutely bossed 2024 in test and T20I formats; he didn’t play any ODI matches last year. He was the leading test wicket-taker in 2024 with 71 wickets in 13 tests at an average of 14.92 and claimed five five-wicket hauls. He also captained India to a famous win in Perth.

He played only eight T20Is in 2024, all of which were during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, where he snared 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy of 4.17, and bagged the Man of the Tournament award in India’s victorious campaign.

Meanwhile, talking about the match, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan have included Imam-ul-Haq in their side in place of the injured Fakhar Zaman, while India are unchanged.

Teams:

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, KL Rahul(w), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav

Pakistan (Playing XI): Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan(w/c), Salman Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed
