The match is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, but Bumrah‘s unavailability will leave a massive void in the XI.
The reports claimed that Jasprit Bumrah is suffering from a viral fever and will be rested as a precautionary measure. According to sources, the Indian team management is unwilling to take any risks with Bumrah so early in the tournament.
Although the ace pacer was present at the stadium on the eve of the match, he did not participate in training, further strengthening the likelihood of his absence from the playing XI.
