Jasprit Bumrah will play just one out of the two remaining games in the ongoing ENG vs IND series.
Jasprit Bumrah is all set to feature in the Indian Cricket Team XI for the fourth test against the England Cricket Team, as per the reports in the Times of India. The game between the two teams will take place at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, starting from 23rd July.
Since the last few days, there have been a lot of doubts over Bumrah’s participation in the fourth game. This is because the fast bowler will be playing one game out of the remaining two due to the workload management, and with him playing the last game, there was speculation that he would be rested for the Manchester test.
However, with the series on the line, the team management has decided to play him. Jasprit Bumrah will be extremely important for his team, and if India has to fancy their chances of levelling the series, the pacer needs to be there.
Bumrah has been India’s best bowler in the series. Despite playing just two games, he is the second leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets. With him now set to play the Manchester test, it means he won’t be there for the last game at The Oval.
Akash Deep ruled out of the fourth test against England – reports
The reports also added that Akash Deep won’t be featuring in the fourth test as he has been struggling with his back. He faced a niggle during the last game, and hence, team management won’t be playing him and will return in the Oval test.
The source close to the developments said:
“It was decided before the tour that Bumrah would only play three Tests in this series, and now with Akash’s back niggle flaring up, we can’t see both of them playing in the XI together. If Bumrah plays in Manchester, then Akash will sit out. At The Oval, Akash will replace Bumrah,” said the source to the Times of India.
Anshul Kamboj likely to make test debut in Manchester – Reports

Not only this, the reports added that there are chances that Anshul Kamboj might make his debut in Manchester. This is because Arshdeep Singh has also been ruled out of the match as he faced a deep cut on his bowling hand in the nets. He will need at least ten days to recover.
Kamboj was called by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to join the team in England. The pacer reportedly has joined the side and will soon be training with the team.
