Jasprit Bumrah gives a wild send off to Ben Duckett after cleaning him up in the second innings of IND vs ENG 1st test.
India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah has put India on top against England in the first test match of the five-match test series. Bumrah bowled a magnificent second spell in the second innings at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Jasprit Bumrah picked up two quick wickets to put India on top. He got rid off both Ben Duckett and Joe Root. Bumrah got the wickets in his back to back overs.
Jasprit Bumrah trapped Ben Duckett in front of the stumps in his third over but umpire turned down the appeal. Captain Rohit Sharma didn’t go for a review as wicket-keeper KS Bharat wasn’t convinced and denied from behind the stumps. Later in replay, the ball looked crashing onto the leg stump. Bumrah made a roaring comeback in his fourth over and rattled Ben Duckett’s off-stump.

England opener Ben Duckett (47) also smashed two boundaries in the same over against Bumrah, Later on in the final delivery of his fourth over, Bumrah bowled a length ball which came in sharply to make Duckett uncomfortable in his position. The ball went on to smash the left-handers off-stump. Bumrah looked agitated in his celebration as he had a bit of sweet revenge against English opener who was looking set for a big knock.
RIght in the next over, Jasprit Bumrah trapped Joe Root. Root’s stay at the wicket was very short as he faced only six balls and scored two runs, Bumrah delivered a length delivery to Joe Root which hit on his knee-roll. Root failed to get bat on time and missed it completely. Bumrah brought India back in the game with two back to back wickets. India finished their innings on 436 runs and with 190 runs lead.

Team India could only add 15 runs in their total and they were dismissed on 436 runs. Ravindra Jadeja fell short of his century by 13 runs and was dismissed on 87. Axar Patel also failed to get a half-century as Rehan Ahmed castled the left-hander on 44 runs. Joe Root picked up four wickets for England in the first innings. England scored 246 runs in the first innings of the Hyderabad test.
