Jasprit Bumrah, wife Sanjana Ganesan blessed with baby boy

Jasprit Bumrah left the team on Sunday and will join before Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023.

Indian ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah left the Indian squad on Sunday night just before the game against Nepal and went home because of personal reasons. Monday morning brought the news that he and his wife Sanjana Ganesan have been blessed with a baby boy. The pacer, who returned home, confirmed this news with an adorable post on social media.

Bumrah shared the post with caption, "Our little family has grown & our heart are filled than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can't wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it."

Jasprit Bumrah will join the team for the Super Four of Asia Cup 2023

Jasprit Bumrah is a very important part of India's plan for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 and the coming ODI World Cup 2023. As the World Cup is scheduled to take place in India, he will be leading the Indian bowling attack. Bumrah recently returned after a 10-month gap after recovering from a back injury. He made his comeback in the Ireland series and did well on his return.

He was part of the first game for India against Pakistan on Saturday. Though the game ended without a result and was called off as the rain washed out the complete second innings. He batted and scored 16 vital runs in the final overs. India will face Nepal on Monday in the second game, and Mohammed Shami is likely to replace him.

India need to win this game to qualify for the Super Four. Though the forecast is not good and there is a prediction of rain, if it happens, both teams will share a point each and India will qualify directly. Bumrah will be joining the team in the next round. Adding to that, the squad for the 2023 World Cup is likely to be announced on September 5.
