Jasprit Bumrah got rid of both Shadab Khan and Mohammed Rizwan.

Jasprit Bumrah showed why he is one of the modern-day greats as he gave India a brilliant breakthrough. He dismissed the potentially dangerous Shadab Khan with a great ball during the India vs Pakistan match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14, 2023.

Both teams had won their opening two games in the competition coming into this match. In their opening matches, India and Pakistan each defeated Australia and Afghanistan, while Sri Lanka and Netherlands were defeated by Pakistan.

India chose to bowl in Ahmedabad after Rohit Sharma won the toss. Ishan Kishan was replaced by Shubman Gill, who made his World Cup debut.

In the first nine overs, Imam Ul Haq and Abdullah Shafique added 41 runs, which was a promising start. Shafique was eventually out via LBW to Mohammed Siraj for 20 runs, and Imam was bowled out by Hardik Pandya for 36 runs.

Then, for the third wicket, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam added 82 runs. However, Babar Azam was immediately castled by Mohammed Siraj after he reached 50. Then Jasprit Bumrah came back into action with the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan.

On the second ball of the 36th over, Jasprit Bumrah had Shadab Khan playing the wrong line. Bumrah bowled the ball on a length outside off and moved back in sharply with his action, and Shadab Khan was rooted to his crease.

It beat the outside edge and hit the top of the off-stump. That's as close to perfect as it gets.
