Jasprit Bumrah picked up five wickets for 74 runs during his spell in the first innings.

The Indian Cricket Team are locking horns with the England Cricket Team in third test of the five-match series at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah showed a wonderful bowling performance in the first innings as he picked up a five-wicket haul.

The senior Indian pacer helped his team bowl out England for 387 in the first innings on day two. The right-arm pacer dismissed crucial England batters in Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, and Joe Root during his spell. He registered bowling figures of 5/74.

The 31-year-old pacer registered his name on the Lord’s Honours Board after his fifer in the encounter. According to a report in PTI, Bumrah has donated his pair of spikes to the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Museum after his five-wicket haul at Lord’s.

The reports also added that Bumrah has kept the match ball with himself but donated his shoes to the museum. Ahead of the third test, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s portrait was unveiled at the museum.

With his fifer in the ongoing test, the right-arm pacer surpassed former Indian captain Kapil Dev for most five-wicket hauls (13) in away tests. Notably, this was Bumrah’s second five-wicket haul in the ongoing test series. Earlier, he also clinched a fifer in the opening test at Headingley, Leeds.

Meanwhile, Joe Root hammered a century to power England to 387/10 in the first innings. Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse also scored crucial fifties. For India, KL Rahul slammed a century on day three while Rishabh Pant (74) scored a half-century.

In the second session on day three, India crossed 300 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of five wickets. Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bat first in the match.
