Jasprit Bumrah grabbed a three-wicket haul in the first innings of 1st IND vs WI test.
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah gave a wonderful performance with a ball in first innings of the ongoing first test between Indian Cricket Team and the West Indies Cricket Team. The right-arm pacer clinched a three-wicket haul in the clash, which is underway at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
West Indies captain Roston Chase won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the visitors could not bat for long as India demolished them for just 162 runs in the first innings. Pacers Mohammed Siraj and Bumrah were the pick of the bowlers, sharing seven wickets between them.
In the second session, Bumrah bowled two deadly yorkers to dismiss Justin Greaves and Johann Layne. Greaves was looking good with the bat and top scored with 32 for West Indies. In the last ball of the 39th over, Bumrah castled him with an unplayable yorker. Later, he dismissed Layne in a similar fashion on the first delivery of his next over.

Bumrah picked three wickets for 42 runs during his 14-over spell. Earlier in the first session, Bumrah dismissed opener John Campbell. Siraj clinched a four-wicket haul in the first innings, registering his best bowling figures at home (4/40) in tests.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav grabbed two wickets, while Washington Sundar took one scalp. Greaves (32), Shai Hope (26), and Chase (24) were the top run-scorers for the visitors as none of their batters could reach a half-century.
