Dinesh Karthik revealed that he invited Jitesh Sharma into the commentary box during the Lord’s test.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Dinesh Karthik has rebuffed the video that claimed Jitesh Sharma was denied entry at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London during the recent third test between the Indian Cricket Team and the England Cricket Team. A video went viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) where the young batter was denied entry into the stadium.

A social media user claimed that Jitesh Sharma was denied entry as the security guard did not recognise him. Later, Karthik helped him with the entry. This saw many coming up with the hilarious reactions, mocking the young keeper-batter

Karthik, who is one of the commentators for broadcaster Sky Sports in the test series, revealed that he invited Jitesh Sharma to the commentary box during the Lord’s test. Karthik met him outside the media center and took him to the commentary box.

“These are some issues with social media that a lot face. I invited jitesh to the comm box , he had come , and I came and met him down and took him to the comm box and he met everyone there . Btw this is below the media center, not the entrance to the ground”, Karthik tweeted. Have a look at his tweet below.

Notably, Karthik and Sharma worked together in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. While Karthik was the mentor of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the tournament, Sharma was the wicket-keeper batsman. The franchise won the title in IPL 2025.

The nail-biting game between England and India went to the last session on the final day, and the hosts eventually won the encounter by 22 runs. India failed to chase down a 193-run target in the clash, getting bowled out for 170 runs in the second innings.

Meanwhile, India and England are gearing up for the fourth test, scheduled to commence from July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. England lead the five-match series 2-1.
