Kevin Pietersen has shown his affections towards India in a special way.
Indians are celebrating as they mark the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday. On this day in 1947, India gained its Independence from British rule. Several Indian cricketers have wished fellow Indians a very happy Independence Day with lovely messages through their social media posts as well as with video posts recounting the journey they had to achieve glory for the nation. Along with Indian cricketers, Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen has also posted a wonderful message on Twitter to celebrate India’s independence day. KP posted a message in Hindi to wish Indians independence day.

Former English skipper Kevin Pietersen tweeted, “Bharat to Swatantrata Diwas ki hardik shubhkamanayen. Sabse khubsurat deshon me se ek, jahan main kabhi gya hun. Jald hi lautne aur apne sabhi doston aur naye doston se milne ka intezar kar rha hun. Dher sara pyar.” (A very Happy Independence Day to India. India is the most beautiful country I have travelled to. Soon I am trying to come back and waiting to meet my old and new friends. Love to India.) KP has shown affection towards India with his tweet in India’s official language, Hindi.
Kevin Pietersen has been a regular traveller to India for his save the Rhinos programme as well as for cricketing reasons. KP has been a regular on the Indian Premier League commentary panel as well. Pietersen is also one of the most loved batters in India, with a huge fan following. He will be travelling to India soon for English TV broadcasters for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He continuously tweets about India’s wildlife, culture, and cricket.
