KKR have observed a dismal start in IPL 2026, losing both of their opening games. In their first match, Ajinkya Rahane & Co. lost to the Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets. KKR posted a big total of 220/4 in the first innings but failed to defend the target.
In their second match, they suffered a massive 65-run defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). SRH piled up 226/8 in the first innings and bowled out KKR for just 161 runs.
Speaking about the Punjab Kings, they have won two matches in IPL 2026. PBKS crushed the Gujarat Titans by three wickets in their first match, chasing a 163-run target. Later, Shreyas Iyer & Co. outplayed CSK by five wickets, chasing down a 210-run target with ease.
In the ongoing match KKR won the toss and opted to bat; however, after first few overs, match got disrupted due to the rain. PBKS had already taken two quick wickets, and this will be challenging for both teams as rain break surely takes away the momentum.
