Jasprit Bumrah conceded only 19 runs in nine overs that he bowled on day 1 of the IND vs BAN Kanpur test.

Senior India cricketers Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja shared a light-hearted moment with fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah during day 1 of the ongoing IND vs BAN test match in Kanpur.

The second test of the series got underway on Thursday at Green Park, Kanpur, on Thursday. However, only 35 overs were possible due to rain and stumps were called during the second session.

During one of the breaks during day 1, Kohli, Jadeja and Bumrah stood near the boundary line, along with youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal. The senior duo teased the speedster by imitating his body orientation during his run-up.

The players had a big laugh as Kohli and Jadeja skipped and hopped a little, and copied Bumrah’s bowling action in front of the bowler himself.

This hilarious video went viral on social media.

India pick three wickets after electing to bowl first on a rain-marred day

Rohit Sharma, the India captain, made a rare decision of bowling first after winning the toss in Indian conditions. The last time India opted to bowl first in a home test was in 2015. Rohit cited the soft pitch and some grass on it as his reason to bowl first. With rain forecasted for at least the first three days of this test, the decision for now is explicable.

India started well as Bumrah and Siraj tied down Zakir Hasan before Akash Deep claimed his wicket for a duck. Deep then also dismissed Shadman Islam, who scored 24 off 36 balls, in the first session.

In the second session, R Ashwin got rid of Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. Heavy rain arrived during the second session and no more play was possible. At stumps on day 1 in Kanpur, Bangladesh are 107/3.
