Kris Srikkanth backs Ravindra Jadeja to have Yuvraj Singh-like impact at 2023 ODI WC

Former Indian opening batter Kris Srikkanth has placed his bet on Ravindra Jadeja and said, “In Indian conditions, some of the wickets will turn a lot. It won’t be bouncy like in Australia or moving conditions like England India are used to home conditions, and that is one of the biggest advantages for the Indians. In the 2011 World Cup, you saw a lot of all-rounders coming into play. We had a fantastic side very well led by Dhoni, too, and that time we had Yuvraj Singh. I believe Ravindra Jadeja will do what Yuvraj Singh did in the 2011 World Cup”. 

Yuvraj Singh scored 362 runs in 8 innings with a 90.50 average. He smashed a century against West Indies and also 4 fifties in his 8 innings. Yuvi also did magnificent work with the ball and took 15 wickets in 9 games. Ravindra Jadeja almost took India closer to victory in the 2019 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand. He smashed 77 runs in 59 balls. Jadeja is also a proven bowler in the Indian conditions. Jadeja will have a crucial role in India’s playing eleven for the upcoming World Cup.
