Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are clashing in match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Friday, April 24. The encounter is taking place at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to field first in the encounter. Sai Sudharsan rocked the field with his stunning century, scoring 100 runs off 58 deliveries.
Even though, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Suyash Sharma got one wicket each, RCB bowlers struggled to get going. Krunal Pandya remained quite expensive with his bowling. The left-arm spinner leaked 50 runs in his four overs and failed to get any wickets. RCB bowlers could dismiss only three GT batsmen in the clash.

Notably, Pandya suffered an injury scare in the encounter. While bowling the final over of the 1st innings, he stopped after two deliveries. He was seen in pain on the field and had a chat with a team physio. It looked like a groin injury. After a short break, he resumed his bowling.
Pandya has been in impressive form in IPL 2026. He has picked up eight wickets in seven games so far at an economy of 9.20. He is the second-highest wicket-taker for the side after Bhuvneshwar Kumar (11). He has led RCB’s spin attack in the tournament.
Meanwhile, RCB take the third spot in the IPL 2026 points table. With a victory in the ongoing game, they can jump to the second spot. Out of six games, they have won four and lost two. They are the defending champions of the tournament. They lost their previous game against Delhi Capitals (DC).
