IND vs AUS: Kuldeep Yadav released from Indian squad for last two T20Is against Australia for this massive reason

Kuldeep Yadav was left out of India’s playing XI in the third T20I against Australia on Sunday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday, November 2, released spinner Kuldeep Yadav from the Indian Cricket Team‘s squad for the last two T20Is of the series against the Australian Cricket Team. The wrist spinner has been released to play for India A in the upcoming unofficial second test match against South Africa A.

The Rishabh Pant-led India A, who won the first game, will clash with South Africa A in the second unofficial test, starting November 6 at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence Ground 1. Kuldeep has been asked to play in order to prepare himself for the upcoming two-match test series against South Africa, starting November 14.

Kuldeep was not part of Indian XI in the third T20I against Australia on November 2 (Sunday) at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart. He played the second T20I at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, where he took two wickets for 45 runs but had to warm the bench for third game due to team combination.

Kuldeep Yadav released from India’s T20I squad against Australia

In an official statement, the BCCI revealed that Kuldeep has been released from India’s T20I squad against Australia to play for India A. BCCI also noted that the move will help the Indian spinner to prepare for the test series against South Africa.

“The Indian team management has requested to release Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing T20I series in Australia to allow him to participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The second four-day match starts on 6th November,” BCCI said in an official statement.

“The decision has been taken to provide Kuldeep with red-ball game time in preparation for the upcoming IDFC First Bank two-match Test series against South Africa,” the statement further said.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep showed a wonderful form in the previous test series against the West Indies at home last month. Clinching a five-wicket haul and a total of eight wickets in the second test at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, he won the Player of the Match award. With 12 wickets across two games, he finished as the leading wicket-taker in the series.
