Kuldeep Yadav has been India’s go to bowler in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
Indian Cricket Team spinner Kuldeep Yadav achieved a massive feat in the history of the T20I Asia Cup. The wrist spinner has registered the record for most wickets in an edition of the tournament after his spectacular performances in the 2025 edition.
Kuldeep Yadav achieved the feat during the Super Four encounter against Sri Lanka on Friday. The last match of the Super Four stage of the tournament between the teams took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Friday, September 26.
Kuldeep Yadav has looked a class apart with the ball in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. He started the tournament with a bang, picking four wickets against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Not only this, he then followed it up with a three-wicket haul against Pakistan.

In the recent game against Sri Lanka, Kuldeep Yadav picked up one wicket and took his wicket’s tally to 13 in the tournament, which is the most in a single T20I edition of the tournament. He broke Amjad Javed’s record of 12 wickets, which the UAE star achieved during the 2016 edition of the Asia Cup.
With one more game to go in the Asia Cup 2025, Kuldeep Yadav’s tally is only expected to rise. The final of the tournament will be played between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, 28th September.
Kuldeep Yadav’s record against Pakistan has been staggering as well. In the last two games, he was the major reason behind India’s win. He would be keen to replicate his performance and help his team win their record ninth title.
