Kuldeep Yadav scored 28 runs in the first innings of the fourth test between India and England in Ranchi.
On day 3 of the ongoing fourth test match between India and England at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi, Indian wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav displayed a masterclass spin bowling along with senior of-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
The left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav turned the match in India’s favor by dismissing the dangerous Ben Stokes, leaving England in a precarious position. Before Stokes’ wicket, Kuldeep also castled Zak Crawley, who scored 60 runs off 91 balls including seven fours.
The incident happened during the 33rd over of the second innings for England, with the pressure mounting on the Indian side. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav got his second as he dismissed England’s captain Ben Stokes.
Kuldeep bowled a loopy delivery on the leg-stump line over the wicket, and Kuldeep got it to turn away. Left-handed batter Ben Stokes took out the front foot to block it, but the ball turned sharply, and Stokes missed it completely.
Then the ball hit him on the back foot and dropped down on the middle stump, dislodging the bails. Soon after the dismissal, Ben Stokes was left shocked while Kuldeep Yadav and the Indian side roared heavily, which shows the importance of the wicket.
Left-handed batter Kuldeep Yadav also played a gritty knock of 28 runs off 131 balls in the first innings in Ranchi. Kuldeep also stitched a valuable 76-run partnership with wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel.
