Nepal’s Kushal Malla smashes 34-balls ton in Asian Games, breaks Rohit Sharma’s record for fastest T20I century

Nepal cricketer Kushal Malla has broken Rohit Sharma’s record for fastest T20I century.
On Wednesday, September 27th, during the men’s cricket match at Asian Games in Hangzhou, Nepal’s cricket sensation, Kushal Malla, made history. Facing off against Mongolia, the 19-years-old Malla achieved something truly remarkable by breaking the long-standing record for the fastest century in T20 international (T20I) cricket. This record was previously held jointly by India’s Rohit Sharma and South Africa’s David Miller.
Batting at the number three position, the young left-handed Malla delivered an exceptional performance that left everyone in awe. He scored an unbeaten 137 runs from just 50 balls, a truly impressive achievement in its own right. What made this achievement even more astonishing was how quickly Malla reached his century in just 34 balls, surpassing the previous record holders, Rohit Sharma and David Miller.
Prior to Kushal Malla’s remarkable achievement, the record for the fastest century in T20 International (T20I) cricket was jointly held by Rohit Sharma, who accomplished it in 35 balls during a match between India and Sri Lanka in Indore in December 2017, and David Miller, who also reached a century in 35 balls against Bangladesh in October 2017. However, Malla’s extraordinary performance not only secured a victory for Nepal but also cemented his status as the new world record holder for the quickest century in T20I cricket history.
