With the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 underway, India and Pakistan are set to clash tonight on June 14 for their first matches of this tournament. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM (IST) in Birmingham.
Both the teams are grouped together in Group A along with Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands. This is the debut edition of Netherlands women playing their maiden T20 World Cup.
India have clashed with Pakistan 16 times in Women’s T20Is, and have managed a victory in 13 of those. Eight out of those 16 matches were T20 World Cup fixtures, wherein India won six times.
Among the active cricketers, Smriti Mandhana has been the highest run-scorer in the IND-W vs PAK-W T20I fixtures, while Nida Dar from Paksitan has picked most wickets.

Octobe 6, 2024, in Dubai, India and Pakistan women contested in the match 7 of T20 World Cup 2024. The Women in Green opted to bat first, and had a dreadful start.
Pakistan were already 29/2 in the powerplay, and till the tenth over mark, they had managed to score only 41 runs losing four of their batters. Eventually, with the innings of Nida Dar (28) and cameos from Syeda Aroob (14) and Fatima Sana (13), they posted 105 on the board.
All five Indian bowlers picked wickets, however, Arundhati Reddy shone with her three-wicket haul and gave merely 19 runs. Shreyanka Patil with her two wickets, and Renuka, Deepti and Asha Shobana with one each made significant contributions.
When India came out to bat, they too lost one opener in the powerplay and scored 25 runs. By the tenth over mark, the Women in Blue had reached half the target. India chased down the score comfortably with 7 balls remaining. Shafali Verma (32), Jemimah Rodrigues (24) and Harmanpreet Kaur (29) took the game away from Pakistan. Arundhati Reddy was the Player of the match in this contest for her brilliance with the ball.
