Laura Wolvaardt is the leading run-scorer of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final is currently underway at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy between Indian Women Cricket Team and South Africa Women Cricket Team. In a high-stake final, the Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt stood tall for her team and achieved a big milestone, scripting the record for most runs by a batter in a single edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

The right-handed batter has been in marvellous form in the tournament and is the leading run-scorer with over 500 runs to her name. Wolvaardt’s best came in the semi-final against England Women, where she hammered a match-winning 169 to take her the team to victory. Then in the final against India, she made sure that she continued her good form.

As South Africa Women aim to chase a 299-run target in the encounter, Wolvaardt gave a brilliant start with the bat, etching a 51-run stand with Tazmin Brits for the opening stand. In the 17th over, she reached her half-century to put South Africa Women in a dominating position.
