Rohit Sharma made his debut in international cricket in 2007.

Rohit Sharma is one of India’s most iconic batsmen in limited-overs cricket. He made his international debut in an ODI against Ireland in 2007 in Belfast, but it took him almost six years to secure a fixed spot in the team.

He finally flourished once he was promoted as opener in ODI cricket at the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 and went from strength to strength.

Over the years, Rohit has changed his batting approach in different stages of his career. Until 2021, he preferred a slow start and then accelerated to build big innings, especially in ODI cricket. However, since taking over captaincy in a full-time capacity, he has focused on being more aggressive early on to give his team a strong start.

Since the beginning of his career in 2007, Rohit Sharma has so far won four ICC titles – two as a player and two as captain. He also helped India end their ICC title drought in 2024, captaining the side to T20 World Cup title in Barbados, having won their last ICC title in 2013. He later on went on to win the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 as captain.

On that note, let’s take a look at the list of all ICC titles won by the Hitman.

All ICC titles won by Rohit Sharma:

1. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2007

Rohit’s first ICC title came in 2007 at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He was part of the young team that shocked the world by defeating big names like Australia, England, and Pakistan to clinch the title.

Sharma contributed 88 runs in four innings in the tournament, including one half-century. He played an unbeaten knock of 30 off 16 balls to propel India to 157/5 in the final against Pakistan.

2. ICC Champions Trophy 2013

The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 played a huge role in Rohit Sharma’s rise in limited-overs cricket. Initially tried as a middle-order batsman, Rohit was promoted as an opener by Indian captain MS Dhoni in the tournament.

The right-hander finished the tournament as India’s second-highest run-scorer behind Shikhar Dhawan with a total of 177 runs in five games.

Rohit scored 33 runs in the semi-final against Sri Lanka to set the foundation for the 182-run chase.

3. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024

Rohit’s first ICC title as captain came in the form of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024 in the USA and Caribbean Islands. The title also ended India’s 11-year ICC trophy drought.

Rohit’s outstanding campaign saw him scoring most runs for India in the competition with 257 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 157. He played a crucial 57-run knock in the semi-final against England, helping India win the game by 68 runs.

Despite not making an impact with the bat in the final, Rohit’s composure and captaincy helped India defend 30 runs in the last five overs to win the tournament.

4. ICC Champions Trophy 2025

After heartbreak in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Rohit led the Indian team to redemption with their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win in Dubai.

Under his leadership, the team maintained a perfect record in the competition with five wins from five games. He also made a bold decision as captain to include four spinners in the playing XI, which proved to be a masterstroke on Dubai’s pitches.

Rohit was named Player of the Match in the final for his vital 76-run knock against New Zealand, which guided India to a four-wicket win in a challenging 252-run chase.
