Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are locking horns in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Saturday, April 25. The encounter is underway at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

DC won the toss and opted to bat first in the clash. They came up with an impeccable batting show in the clash. They posted a mammoth total of 264/2, setting the record for the highest total in IPL 2026 so far of 264/2.

DC opener KL Rahul came up with a spectacular batting show, scoring an unbeaten 152 runs off 67 deliveries. Nitish Rana also helped with his stunning half-century but lost his wicket just ahead of his century at 91 runs.

DC pacer Lungi Ngidi sustained a head injury while fielding in the second innings. He was injured while trying to grab a catch of Priyansh Arya during Axar Patel’s over. He fell on the field and sustained a serious injury to his head.

After the incident, he was seen in immense pain on the field. Team physios immediately came to the field and took him out in an ambulance. DC are yet to provide an update on his condition.

Ngidi’s injury is a big blow for Capitals as he is the joint-leading wicket-taker for the team with seven scalps in six games. He has led DC’s pace attack in IPL 2026 so far and bowled at a stunning economy of 8.70.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings also did a brilliant job in the chase. Opener Priyansh Arya (43) and Prabhsimran Singh (76) gave a stunning start to the batting, with a brilliant partnership of 126 runs.Cooper Connolly could only score 17 runs. Till 13 overs, Punjab crossed 180 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of three wickets.
