Major update on Sai Sudharsan's fitness ahead of SL vs IND Test series

India’s squad is expected to leave for Sri Lanka on August 4 as preparations continue for the two-match Test series.
India are in the final phase of preparations for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, with the squad scheduled to depart for Colombo on August 4.
Several players are expected to use the warm-up fixture in Sri Lanka to acclimatise before the opening Test. On the other hand, the team management continues to monitor the fitness of a few squad members.
The first Test of the series is scheduled to begin on August 15, with India set to play a three-day warm-up match at the NCC Grounds before travelling to Galle for the remainder of their preparations. The practice fixture is expected to help the team finalise combinations ahead of the opening Test.
While the rest of the team is fully prepared for the tour, one player remains under medical supervision. The latest report suggests he is on the mend, but his arrival date in Sri Lanka is yet to be confirmed.
Sai Sudharsan batting at Centre of Excellence

According to RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan, Sai Sudharsan is currently batting at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and is progressing well in his recovery. There are no major concerns over his fitness at present, but it remains unclear when he will link up with the Indian squad in Sri Lanka.
According to reports, the left-handed batsman could travel to Colombo with Team India on August 4. There is also a possibility that he might travel later. His participation in the match would depend on the medical team’s report.
The national side is supposed to play the practice match from August 7 to 9 at the NCC grounds before the team heads for Galle around August 10. The warm-up sessions for the Test series are expected to start as soon as the team reaches Galle.
In case Sai Sudharsan joins the team before the practice match, he could get a chance to play the only practice match before the Test series starts. Missing the practice match, however, would leave him with only training sessions in Galle to prepare for the opening Test, should he receive fitness clearance in time.
