Mohammad Rizwan was out after scoring 31 runs against South Africa in Chennai.

Pakistan are taking on South Africa in a do-or-die game at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan have lost their three back-to-back games and a win against South Africa is a must for them to remain alive in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Pakistan lost against Afghanistan at Chepauk just a few days ago. South Africans have been in top-class form apart from losing against the Netherlands in Dharamsala.

The intensity between the two teams seems high as both can not afford to lose in this game. Similarly, Players are also a bit charged up. There were a few moments of heated arguments between South African all-rounder Marco Jansen and Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan. Both went at each other and shared a heated moment during the game. Mohammad Rizwan has been the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in World Cup 2023.

Heated argument between Rizwan and Jansen

Marco Jansen got Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq (12) caught at Gully by Heinrich Klassen to provide South Africa the start they were looking for. Mohammad Rizwan came in with a lot of responsibilities and was expected to take Pakistan's innings forward. Jansen almost got him caught in the first ball but Jansen himself couldn’t hold on to catch. The mini rivalry between the two began from here and Jansen gave Rizwan a cold stare. Right in the next ball, it got a bit forward.

Rizwan smashed a boundary to Jansen and the South African all-rounder was again seen giving Rizwan a cold stare. Rizwan after smashing the boundary retaliated and asked him to “Just Go and Ball.” Jansen couldn’t control himself and fired a few words at the Pakistan wicket-keeper. As the situation was getting a bit tense between the two in Chennai, South African pacer Gerald Coetzee came in to stop the fiery exchange between the two.

The situation didn’t get better in the next ball as well as Jansen and Rizwan had a bit of sledging in the final ball of the 7th over as well. Mohammad Rizwan (31) perished against Gerald Coetzee, who got him out caught behind on a bouncer. Pakistan had a poor start against South Africa's pace bowlers. Abdullah Shafique (9), Imam-ul-Haq (12) and Mohammad Rizwan (31) are back in the pavilion while Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed are taking Pakistan's innings forward.
