Ravindra Jadeja won gold medal for his outstanding fielding vs BAN in match No.17 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

It was a complete performance from India on the field in all three departments against Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune in match 17 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They won their fourth successive match in this tournament and are in second place on the points table behind New Zealand. India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets and 51 balls to spare.

It was yet another brilliant performance by Virat Kohli in a chase, and this time he scored an unbeaten hundred. He scored 103 not out of 97 balls with six fours and four sixes. But Ravindra Jadeja was another Indian player who had a brilliant game. He picked up 2/38 in ten overs and also took a brilliant catch in the field.

Team India have introduced a good initiative to award the best fielder after every game with a gold medal in the dressing room. And last night it was Ravindra Jadeja, who was brilliant with his fielding, saved a few runs, his throws were accurate, and he also grabbed a stunning catch to dismiss Mushfiqur Rahim from the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah. As a result, he was rewarded with the gold medal.

KL Rahul was brilliant on the field and also took a brilliant catch. However, Ravindra Jadeja had a few moments.

BCCI shared a video of the dressing room where Ravindra Jadeja received the gold medal. They captioned, "A grand win in a grand medal ceremony 🏅 A celebration of “Giant” proportions 🔝 This time the Dressing room BTS went beyond the boundary - quite literally 😉 The moment you’ve all been waiting for is here 🎬"
