Originally posted on Hardik's social media with the caption 'Boys' day out,' the image captured all five cricketers in high spirits. On September 28, 2023, Agarwal himself finally resolved the mystery by posting on X (formerly Twitter) to put an end to the suspense. "After years of extensive research, debates, and countless conspiracy theories, let the nation finally know: it is my hand on @RishabhPant17 shoulder. Any and all other claims are misleading and not true," Agarwal wrote.
Initially left out of India's 2019 World Cup squad, Agarwal was later drafted in as a replacement for the injured Vijay Shankar.
