Ashes 2025-26: [Watch] Mitchell Starc turns into a bird! Takes a blinder off his own bowling to dismiss Zak Crawley

Mitchell Starc clinched a seven-wicket haul in the first innings of the Perth test.
The first test of Ashes 2025-26 between Australian Cricket Team and England Cricket Team in underway at Optus Cricket Stadium, Perth. On day two of the encounter, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc stole the limelight yet again and after his heroics with the ball in first innings, he grabbed a stunning catch to dismiss England opener Zak Crawley for a duck in the second innings.
Starc is the leading Australia’s pace attack in the absence of injured Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins in the encounter. The left-arm pacer rocked the field on day 1, clinching a seven-wicket haul in the first innings. With his heroics, the hosts Australia bowled out England for 172 runs.
However, England came up with an even deadly bowling show, dismissing Australia for just 132 runs in the first innings. Captain Ben Stokes clinched a five-wicket haul while Brydon Carse clinched three wickets to dominate the Aussies at their home. Jofra Archer also took two wickets as England gained a lead of 40 runs.

In the second innings, Starc continued with his spectacular bowling form and gave an early blow to England by dismissing Crawley in the first over itself. On the fifth delivery, Starc bowled a good-length ball at the off-stump. As Crawley tried to defend, the ball popped up and went towards the bowler.
Starc in his follow-through showed a brilliant presence of mind and put in a spectacular dive to take the catch with his left hand. The on-field umpire took a little time to decide but eventually adjudged him out. Crawley was gone for a duck, bagging a pair in the match.

After Crawley’s dismissal, Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope etched a 63-run stand for the second wicket. England have taken a lead of over 100 runs and would be keen to set a big target.
