Mitchell Starc, Australian pace sensation, became the fastest bowler to reach 50 wickets in the ODI Cricket World Cup.

The previous record for the fastest 50 wickets in World Cup history was held by the legendary Sri Lankan fast bowler, Lasith Malinga. Malinga's feat was indeed awe-inspiring, but records are meant to be broken, and in the world of cricket, they often are.

Mitchell Starc puts his name in record books

Starc's remarkable achievement came during a match against India in the ICC Cricket World Cup. Ishan Kishan was his 50th scalp. Starc, known for his lethal pace and impeccable line and length, bowled a delivery that left Kishan completely bamboozled. The ball swung outside-off and found the edge of Kishan's bat. With this dismissal, Starc reached 50 World Cup wickets in just 19 matches, surpassing Lasith Malinga's previous record of 25 matches.
