Mitchell Starc played 65 T20Is for Australia from 2012 to 2024.

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc announced his retirement from T20I cricket on Tuesday, September 2. He pulled curtains over a career which started way back in 2012. During his 13-year-long career, the left-arm pacer clinched 79 wickets in 65 games at an impressive economy of 7.74.

Starc made his T20I debut in September 2012 during a clash against Pakistan. He played his last T20I game against India in ICC T20 World Cup 2024. While the Australia stalwart has pulled curtains down on his T20I career, he will continue to play in ODIs and tests. The lanky pacer has also set his eyes on the next ICC ODI World Cup, which will be played in 2027.

Moreover, the 35-year-old will also continue to play in franchise T20 leagues like the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is one of the best pacers ever to play for Australia across all formats. Starc’s biggest highlight in the shortest format of the game was ICC T20 World Cup 2021, where he picked nine wickets in seven games to help Australia win the title.
