Mohammed Shami was ruled out of the England series due to fitness issues.

Veteran Indian Cricket Team pacer Mohammed Shami is all set to return to action. As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that a fast bowler has been named in Bengal’s expanded list of 50 probables for the upcoming domestic season.

Shami was all set to be part of the Indian squad for the ongoing test series against the England Cricket Team. However, he was ruled out of the series as he wasn’t deemed fit to play. He featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) but looked completely out of sorts.

Ever since IPL 2025 concluded, Shami has been putting in the hard yards to regain his fitness. The premier pacer is also likely to be a part of the East Zone in the season-opening Duleep Trophy, which kicks off from August 28.
