Mohammed Siraj got out off Shoaib Bashir’s delivery in the second innings.

England Cricket Team outplayed Indian Cricket Team by 22 runs in third test of the five-match series at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. India had a target of 193 runs for victory. However, they were bowled out for 170 runs in the second innings, losing the game by a small margin of 22 runs. Mohammed Siraj was the last wicket to fall in the game.

Notably, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja kept India’s hopes alive in the second innings towards the end. Siraj and Jadeja etched a stand of 23 runs for the tenth wicket. While Siraj got out for four runs off 30 deliveries, Jadeja scored an unbeaten 61 runs off 181 balls.

Notably, Mohammed Siraj looked rock solid facing Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, and Shoaib Bashir. At one moment, it looked like Jadeja and Siraj would clinch the victory for India. However, Siraj bagged an unlucky dismissal against Bashir.

In the third session, Mohammed Siraj did a wonderful job defending Bashir’s delivery. However, the ball slowly moved towards the stumps and hit them. As a result, the bails fell and Siraj bagged a shocking dismissal.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer clinched three wickets each to bundle out India for 170 runs in the second innings. Stokes also won Player of the Match award. Earlier, England piled up 387/10 in the first innings with Joe Root’s century. Later, India also scored 387 runs in the first innings.

Jadeja proved out to be a warrior for the visitors with half-centuries in both innings and kept India’s victory hopes alive in the second innings. With the win in the Lord’s encounter, England lead the five-match series 2-1.
