Mongolia registered their third-lowest total in men’s T20Is till now.

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the Mongolian cricket team were skittled out for just 10 runs against Singapore and thus equalled the record for the joint-lowest score in a men’s T20I.

This happened during the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier A match in Bangi. Mongolia matched the record of the Isle of Man cricket team, who were bundled out for 10 against Spain last year.

Batting first, none of the Mongolia batters managed to cross even the five-run mark. Singapore’s leg-spinner Harsha Bharadwaj bagged a six-wicket haul while conceding just three runs in his four-over spell. Off-spinner Akshay Puri also chipped in with two wickets, which bundled out the Mongolian cricket team for merely 10 runs in 10 overs.

While chasing, Singapore lost their captain Manpreet Singh for a golden duck on the very first delivery of pacer Enkhbat Batkhuyag. However, William Simpson (6*) and Raoul Sharma (7*) unbeaten knocks helped Singapore win the one-sided affair with 115 balls remaining.

Here is the list of the lowest total in men’s T20Is (bowled out or completed innings):

1. Mongolia – 10 runs vs Singapore in 2024

2. Isle of Man – 10 runs vs Spain in 2023

3. Mongolia – 12 runs vs Japan in 2024

4. Mongolia – 17 runs vs Hong Kong in 2024

5. Turkey – 21 runs vs Czech Republic in 2019

6. China – 23 runs vs Malaysia in 2023

With this victory, Singapore ended their two-match losing streak in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier A. The side is ranked fourth in the standings with two victories in four games.

Meanwhile, Mongolia are placed at the bottom of the points table with zero victories to their name in four matches.
