MCC's World Cricket Committee Chairman Mike Gatting welcomed the new members in committee.

Former India women's pace bowler Jhulan Goswami has now become part of MCC’s World Cricket Committee along with Former English players Heather Knight and 2019 World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan. The MCC World Cricket Committee meeting is scheduled on Monday and Tuesday at the historical Lord’s which is also home to Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). This committee is an independent body consisting of former players from around the World. Three members were added earlier this year in February, Justin Langer, Clare Connor, and Graeme Smith in that period before the committee's meeting in Dubai. The Chairman of the World Cricket Committee has welcomed the new members in the WCC committee.

Former English skipper and current World Cricket Committee chairman Mike Gatting has said, “We are thrilled to welcome Jhulan, Heather, and Eoin to the World Cricket Committee. They are three players who have excelled at the very top of the international game and their knowledge of how the elite level of cricket works will be an advantage to the committee”. This committee is funded by MCC and researches technical advances and the biochemical elements of the game. Gatting also said that the experience of Jhulan, Heather, Clare, and Suzie Bates will provide them with a first-hand experience of women’s cricket.

Eoin Morgan won the ICC Cricket World Cup with England in 2019 and also became the leading run-scorer for England in the ODI format. Morgan also became an Honorary life member of MCC last year. Jhulan Goswami retired from the game last year as the highest wicket-taker in Women’s ODI Cricket. Heather Knight won the Women’s Cricket World Cup for England in 2017 at The Lord’s.
