Who scored the most runs in ICC World Test Championship 2023-25?

Only two batters scored over 1500 runs in ICC WTC 2023-25.
The South Africa Cricket Team won the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 by defeating the Australian Cricket Team in the final. The Temba Bavuma-led side won the ultimate encounter at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London by five wickets to end their 27-year drought for an International Cricket Council (ICC) title.
The ICC WTC 2023-25 commenced in June 2023 with the exciting Ashes campaign between Australia and hosts England. The nail-biting five-match series ended in a 2-2 draw, but the Pat Cummins-led side managed to retain the Ashes Urn.
South Africa became the first team to book a berth in the final of the tournament, following their whitewash series win against Pakistan in a two-match series at home in January 2025. In the last series of the tournament in February 2025, visitors Australia clinched a 2-0 victory against Sri Lanka to become the second finalists of ICC WTC 2023-25.
South Africa made their way to the first-ever ICC WTC final by finishing in the peak position in the points table with a win percentage (PCT) of 69.44. They won eight games and lost only three out of 12 matches, including one draw encounter. They bagged victories in four test series out of six and lost only one against New Zealand. A two-match series against India ended in a draw.
The defending champions, Australia, followed the Proteas in the second spot in the points table with a PCT of 67.54, winning 13 encounters and losing four games out of 19 tests, while two of their matches ended in draws. Out of their six series during the ICC WTC 2023-25, Pat Cummins & Co. won four series and drew two series against the West Indies and England.
The Indian Cricket Team, who looked favourites to reach the final at one moment, lost back-to-back series against New Zealand and Australia towards the end of the cycle. With a win percentage of 50.0, they finished in the third spot in the points table and failed to reach the final for the third consecutive time, having played the summit clash on the last two occasions. The champions of the maiden edition, New Zealand, followed them in the fourth spot with a PCT of 48.21.
Bangladesh, the West Indies, and Pakistan delivered the worst performances in the ICC WTC 2023-25 and finished in the last three spots respectively in the points table. The England Cricket Team failed to qualify for the final once again despite their 2-1 victory against New Zealand in their last series. Ben Stokes & Co. concluded their campaign at the fifth spot.
The final of ICC WTC 2023-25 between South Africa and Australia took place at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London from June 11. Temba Bavuma-led Proteas outplayed Australia in the thrilling encounter by five wickets. With a century by Markram (136) in the second innings, South Africa chased down a mammoth 282-run target to grab the ICC test mace.
During the ICC WTC 2023-25 cycle, many batsmen delivered consistent batting shows for over two years to grab the limelight. If we look at the top 10 highest run-scorers in the tournament, four England batters make it to the list. 15 batters managed to score over 1000 runs in the cycle, while only two of them managed to cross 1500-run mark in the cycle.
