As expected, Indian matches have been the most watched and followed so far.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has provided plenty of thrilling battles across the group stage and Super 8. Fans in India turned out in large numbers to watch both Indian and non-Indian matches, which shows their love for the game.

Viewership has shattered all records at this year’s T20 World Cup, with fans from across the world tuning in to enjoy quality cricket. The pitches have played equally well for both batters and bowlers, and there has been a good mix of high-scoring contests and low-scoring thrillers.

In this article, we will take a look at the top five matches that saw the highest fan viewership and broke all records.

India kicked off their title defense at Wankhede Stadium against the USA. What was expected to be a smooth start turned out to be complicated, with the USA bowlers performing brilliantly and creating problems for the Indian batsmen.

The hosts were in a spot of bother, losing half their side before Suryakumar Yadav played a captain’s innings to get his team past 160. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj took charge and led the attack to restrict the USA to just 132 runs.

4. India vs South Africa – 363 Million

The rematch of the 2024 final saw the Proteas avenge their defeat. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, South Africa overcame early wickets with a splendid knock by David Miller, ably supported by Dewald Brevis.

Chasing 188, Indian batters struggled again, as Marco Jansen ran riot, picking four wickets. Keshav Maharaj too chipped in with three wickets to hand India their first ICC event defeat after 18 matches.

3. India vs Zimbabwe – 375 Million

India vs Zimbabwe was a do-or-die clash as the loser would have been knocked out. After a shocking loss to South Africa, India made a brilliant comeback and easily defeated Zimbabwe. Abhishek Sharma finally found form with a half-century, and Tilak Varma provided a handy contribution coming down the order.

With the ball, Arshdeep Singh picked a three-wicket haul. Zimbabwe eventually fell 72 runs short of India’s massive total of 256/4.

2. India vs Pakistan – 470 Million

Arch-rivals India and Pakistan always rank high in terms of viewership. However, as has been the case in their previous meeting, the hype and excitement did not match the performance on the field, and India defeated their rivals by a huge margin of 61 runs.

Ishan Kishan starred with the bat to help India post a massive total on a sluggish wicket, which proved to be too much in the end for Pakistan. This marked India’s eighth T20 World Cup win (out of nine matches) against Pakistan.

1. India vs West Indies – 510 Million

Sanju Samson came to India’s rescue and played the innings of his life, leading his team home with an unbeaten 97. Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube also played their part in the chase, helping India keep alive their hopes of defending the title and reaching the last four.
