The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 came to an end with Vidarbha beating Saurashtra by 38 runs to win the final on Sunday, January 18, at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) ground in Bengaluru.
Vidarbha batter Atharva Taide starred with the bat in the final, scoring 128 off 118 balls. His efforts with the bat helped his team put up 317/8 in their 50 overs. Yash Rathod (54 off 61) played his part with the bat as well.
Saurashtra, chasing 318 runs to win the final, fell short by 38 runs as they were bowled out for 279. Fifties from Prerak Mankad and Chirag Jani were not enough on the day as they fell well short in the end. For Vidarbha, Yash Thakur picked up four wickets, Nachiket Bhute picked up three and Darshan Nalkande picked up two.

Delhi pacer Prince Yadav sits fifth in this list. He ended the tournament with 18 wickets from 8 matches at an average of 19.27 and an economy less than six. Prince, who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL), will surely be confident now heading into the league now.
4) Yash Thakur – 19 wickets in 9 matches
Thakur picked up 19 wickets for Vidarbha in the tournament, including a four-fer in the final. He was the most consistent bowler for his side and played his part in taking Vidarbha to the final and eventually winning the title. This performance will give him the confidence he needs ahead of the IPL 2026 season, where he will represent the Punjab Kings. This performance should make the selectors take note of him as well for making it to the Indian team in the future.
3) Zeeshan Ansari – 21 wickets in 8 matches
UP leggie Zeeshan Ansari made his mark in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 by taking 21 wickets in the tournament. He averaged 16.52 in the tournament and maintained an economy of under five runs per over, which was the best among the top five wicket-takers.
2) Satyanarayana Raju – 21 wickets in 7 games
Andhra pacer Satyanarayana Raju sits at number two in the list of top wicket-takers in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. His side did not make it to the knockouts of the tournament, but Raju did make his mark. He picked 21 wickets in seven matches at an average of 16 in the tournament and had an economy of 5.01. He picked up a four-fer and a fifer in the competition.
1) Ankur Panwar – 25 wickets in 10 matches
Saurashtra pacer Ankur Panwar finished as the top wicket-taker in the tournament with 25 wickets in 10 games. He picked up 4/65 for his side in a losing cause in the final. He averaged 21.32 in the tournament and had an economy of less than six. He picked up a four-fer and a fifer. The four-week haul in the final was not enough to help his side win the title.
