WATCH: MS Dhoni celebrates India's Chandrayan-3 success in a cool way
MS Dhoni also celebrated on India becoming the first nation to make a soft-landing on southern pole of the moon.
23 August 2023, Wednesday, 6:04 PM, will be etched in every Indian’s memory. This was the exact time when India witnessed and created history by making a soft-landing on the south pole of the moon. India became the first country in the world to do so. From big to small, everyone was cheering with joy and had tears almost rolling out of their eyes after India witnessed this historical event and applauded the efforts of ISRO. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni also cheered and applauded the scientists.

A video has gone viral on social media where former Indian captain MS Dhoni is seen cheering and applauding for the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Dhoni is seen standing calm and enjoying himself for being part of this historical event, just like every Indian. Dhoni was watching the moon landing on a TV channel in his usual calm and cool manner, clapping his thighs to celebrate the event. Everyone around was also thrilled and clapping as India landed on the South Pole of the moon.
Earlier, a video went viral on social media where MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva Dhoni was also seen cheering as India landed on the moon. In a video shared by MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni, Ziva was seen cheering and clapping as India created history. She also did a little dance to celebrate the moment. Team India, before taking the field against Ireland in Malahide, also watched India’s moon landing on TV. The BCCI released a video in which Indian players were seen cheering and celebrating the historical event.
MS Dhoni won the IPL in 2023 with the Chennai Super Kings. This was his fifth Indian Premier League title, equaling Rohit Sharma’s record of winning the most number of IPL titles. Dhoni was expected to announce his retirement from the IPL after the 2023 title win, but unexpectedly, he announced that he would be coming back for one more season. Dhoni received a huge reception on almost every ground he played in the tournament. He recently underwent surgery to treat his knee injury and will be ready for the IPL 2024.
