MS Dhoni's friend and Prime Sports owner reacts to Dhoni's new bat sticker ahead of IPL 2024

MS Dhoni gifted a signed bat to his childhood friend Paramjit Singh, who is the owner of Prime Sports.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni set the internet on fire after he started practicing in the nets for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). Recently he was seen spotted training with a sticker of ‘Prime Sports’ on his bat, which erupted social media once again. The legendary cricketer, announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020.

However, it’s worth noting that Prime Sports shop is in Ranchi, which is owned by MS Dhoni’s childhood friend Paramjit Singh. The social media once again flooded with Dhoni’s gesture towards his childhood friend Paramjit Singh, where he gifted him a signed bat.

In a latest interview with Sports Tak Hindi, Paramjit showcased a signed bat gift to him by the Indian legendary cricketer MS Dhoni. However, during the interview, Parmajit also spoke about his bond with Dhoni, where he said “I am feeling very proud of him! He has always been there for us, and this is our friendship. Friendship No. 1, MSD gifted me this bat.” The bat carried a message, “Best wishes, Chhotu Bhaiya.”

The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023 final by five wickets (DLS method) to secure their fifth title in the tournament’s history. Despite being troubled with the knee, throughout the tournament, the wicketkeeper-batter featured in all the games for CSK.

During the 2023 IPL edition, MS Dhoni demoted himself in the batting order and played at No. 8 on several occasions. The CSK captain played some quick-fire knocks for his team. The former Indian cricketer amassed 104 runs from 54 balls at a stunning strike rate of 182.45 in the IPL 2023.

MS Dhoni was spotted at Maa Dewri Temple

Dhoni was spotted paying a visit to the Maa Dewri temple, which is situated in Jharkhand, ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 edition. The former Indian captain follows this ritual ahead of all major cricket assignments. The CSK captain was also seen growing his hair, which Dhoni had in his earlier international career in 2004. 

Meanwhile, BCCI hasn’t released the IPL 2024 schedule yet, and the tournament is likely to commence in third week of March.
