MS Dhoni said that Virat Kohli is a very entertaining person.
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has revealed the other side of Virat Kohli and said that the latter is a very entertaining person. Dhoni and Kohli have shared a close bond over the years and are among the two best captains to ever lead India. While Dhoni led India to three ICC titles, Kohli is credited with developing Indian Cricket Team into a dominating test side.
After Dhoni retired from test cricket in 2014, Kohli took over the reins of the test side. Eventually, he took over the leadership of all three formats after Dhoni stepped down from captaincy role in white-ball cricket in 2017. Kohli has always credited Dhoni for his guidance during early days of his cricketing career.
Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020 and is only active in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Kohli, meanwhile, has pulled the curtains down on his T20I and test careers. However, he is still active in ODIs.

While speaking during an event, Dhoni said that Kohli is very entertaining and owns several impressive talents like dancing, singing, and mimicry.
“Virat is a very good singer, a very good dancer, great at mimicry, and very funny. If he is in the mood, he is very, very entertaining,” he said.
Notably, when Kohli stepped down as test skipper in 2022, he revealed that Dhoni was the only person who called him and consoled him during his low phase.
“Let me tell you one thing: when I left the Test captaincy, I got a message from only one person I had played with previously, and that was MS Dhoni. Many people have my number. On TV, they give lots of suggestions and have a lot to say. But none of the people who had my number sent me a message,” Kohli had said.
Meanwhile, both Dhoni and Kohli were last seen during IPL 2025. Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the tournament by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final. On the other hand, Dhoni-led CSK finished at the last spot in the points table with a poor show.
