MS Dhoni smashed 104 runs in 16 matches with a stunning strike rate of 182.46 in IPL 2023.
Legendary Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni rolled back the years with his iconic helicopter shot in the training session ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 opener vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on March 22.
Dhoni, who is back with his vintage long hairdo, looked in fabulous touch in the nets and smocked the CSK bowlers all over the park, as batting coach Michael Hussey was observing things closely.
The former Indian captain recently returned to his second home to begin preparations for the upcoming 17th edition of the cash-rich league. A latest video has gone viral on social media in which Dhoni can be seen playing his vintage helicopter shot, practicing a few more shots and upgrading his range hitting ahead of the much-awaited Southern Derby between CSK and RCB.
Here is the viral video:
The 42-year-old Dhoni played the IPL 2023 tournament with an injured knee. The CSK skipper won them their fifth IPL title last year when they crushed Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Immediately after the 2023 edition ended, the CSK star underwent knee surgery in Mumbai to address the concern.
CSKâs Devon Conway and Matheesha Pathirana set to miss few IPL 2024 games

Conway sustained a blow to his thumb during New Zealandâs third T20I against Australia.
Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana, who suffered a hamstring injury during the recent three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, will be out of action for at least 4-5 weeks, which means he may miss a few games for CSK as well, according to reports.
