MS Dhoni announces comeback in IPL 2024 after winning IPL 2023 as captain

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has won his 5th IPL title.
In a piece of good news to his fans, MS Dhoni has announced that he will be coming back in the yellow jersey to lead Chennai Super Kings for one more season in the IPL 2024. After their 5th title win, everyone was expecting MS Dhoni to hang up his boots but the legendary Indian captain has decided to put himself into training for one more season after a 8-9 months break from the game. Earlier, Dhoni had said that he still has 8-9 months to make a decision, but his announcement after the IPL 2023 final has brought joy to his fans.
Big announcement from MS Dhoni
During the post-match presentation Chennai Super Kings skipper said, “Circumstantially, this is the best time to announce my retirement. But the amount of love I have received all over. The easy thing would be to walk away from here, but the harder thing will be working hard for another 9 months and come back and play at least one more season. It would be a gift from me, won’t be easy on the body”. MS Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in the Indian Premier League along with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma. They both have won 5 IPL titles as captains.
Talking about the love and affection he was getting throughout the season, he said, “You do get emotional simply because it’s the least part of my career. It started over here and the first game when I walked down everyone was chanting my name. "My eyes were full of water and I just stood there in the dugout for a while and decided that I want to enjoy this”. In celebration, MS Dhoni picked up Ravindra Jadeja and hugged him emotionally when Jadeja marched toward the CSK dugout after hitting the winning run.
