"Came as a player, stayed as a leader, and became a legend"- Cricket fraternity wishes MS Dhoni as he turns 44

MS Dhoni remains the only captain to win all three ICC white-ball trophies.
As MS Dhoni turned one year older, fans and past players poured their hearts into tributes, memories, and meaningful messages on social media, particularly Twitter. The overwhelming amount of praise demonstrated the enormous influence the former captain of India has had on the sport on a national and international level.
In 2004, Dhoni made his debut for India and immediately established himself as one of cricket’s most daring and unconventional finishers.
As a result of his quick ascent, he was given the captaincy of the first ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, which he won spectacularly. After leading India to victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, he ended a 28-year drought. He then won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013, becoming the only captain to win all three ICC white-ball trophies.
In addition to leading India to the top spot in test cricket and developing a new generation of match-winners with his subtle yet astute leadership style, Dhoni is renowned for remaining composed under duress. He announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020, after playing 90 test matches, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is. He had already stopped playing test matches in 2014.
IPL success with CSK for MS Dhoni
Dhoni continued to play a significant role in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after leaving the international scene.
Since the tournament’s start in 2008, he has captained the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He has further cemented his reputation as one of the best franchise cricket leaders in history by leading CSK to five IPL titles and playoff appearances in nearly every season.
Fans commemorated an entire era on his birthday, not just the guy. Indian cricket legend is inscribed with Dhoni’s legacy, and the tremendous outpouring of responses on Twitter served just another reminder of the enduring reverence he enjoys.
