Defending champions of the WPL Mumbai Indians unveiled their latest jersey on February 12.

The defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have unveiled their latest jersey for the upcoming edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024) on Wednesday, February 12.

The Mumbai-based franchise released an official post on its social media handles to unveil the WPL 2024 jersey. The MI franchise wrote “Start the WPL bugle! The newest Blue and Gold is here, and it’s the one that will take the field to defend our crown. THE CAPE OF THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS IS HERE!”

The Mumbai Indians franchise also posted a video on their social media site ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) in which they showcased their new WPL 2024 jersey.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians will open their campaign against last year’s runners-up, the Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals (DC), on February 23. Recently, the trio of wicketkeeper-batter Yashika Bhatia, fast bowling all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar, and off-spin all-rounder Humairaa Kaazi joined the MI camp ahead of the 2024 WPL season.

The second season of the WPL 2024 will be played from February 23 to March 17. The upcoming edition will be played at only two venues – M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The first 11 games of the WPL 2024 will be held in Bengaluru, and the second half of the tournament, i.e., the remaining nine league matches, including two playoffs, will take place in New Delhi.
