PM Narendra Modi along with Australia's Deputy PM to attend IND vs AUS final in Ahmedabad

PM Narendra Modi, Australia’s Deputy PM, and some other big names will be present in the IND vs AUS final on Sunday.

The stage is set for the grand final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India are ready to take on five-time champions Australia in the blockbuster of the game that will decide the world champion. The game will take place at the world’s biggest stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is expected to be fully packed. More than 130,000 people will be present during the game in the stadium.

Not just fans, but some big names from different industries will also be present during this high-voltage IND vs AUS clash on Sunday. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will also be present along with Australia’s deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, is all set to attend the game on Sunday.

According to an official release on Friday, the CM of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, held a meeting in Gandhinagar to discuss and oversee security and other arrangements for the upcoming game to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium. The release said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles will attend the match on Sunday. Chief Minister Patel reviewed security and other arrangements with top officials.”

The final will begin with an IAF air show. A number of Bollywood stars, political figures, big names from the cricket world, and other big celebrities and VIPs are all set to attend this game. Marles, who is in Indonesia for bilateral meetings and is also Australia’s Defence Minister, will be attending India-Australia 2+2 Defence and Foreign Ministers meeting on November 20 (Monday) in Delhi.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong will be joining directly in the meeting on Monday. The state government is making sure that all the security arrangements are made around and near the stadium. Apart from the police, other forces will also be active during the match day in Ahmedabad. Notably, PMs of both nations earlier also attended the fourth game of the BGT 2023 series that was played in Ahmedabad.
