Former England skipper Nasser Hussain's Bazball warning to India before first test

Nasser Hussain reminds India about England’s Bazball technique before Hyderabad test.
‘Bazball’ became one of the biggest talking point in test cricket since former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum became the coach of England’ test team. England have been a dominant force at home and teams have found it tough to tackle English team’s new approach in test cricket. England have arrived in India for a five-match test series.
Former England skipper Nasser Hussain has put out ‘Bazball’ warning ahead of the first test scheduled at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on 25th January. In last 15 years, India have lost only one test series at home. In 2012-13, England defeated India by 2-1 in a four-match test series and Nasser Hussain is confident ‘Bazball’ will give England another chance to win at Indian conditions.
Nasser Hussain calls India favourites
Former English skipper Nasser Hussain claimed that India will be favourites for the upcoming series but England’s chances away from home shouldn’t be written off. Speaking to Sky Sports, Nasser Hussain said, “India are the favourites, but every single challenge Bazball has faced they’ve stuck to their guns and Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum’s record is seriously good, I wouldn’t write them off.”
The upcoming five-match test series is likely to be played on rank turners and India will enter the field with three spinners in their playing XI. Nasser Hussain said it will be a interesting battle between the two side. Hussain added, “It will be fascinating cricket and will be interesting to see how this particular side will go against what is one of the great cricketing outfits at the moment, which is the India side.”
England suffered a 3-1 defeat in their previous tour of India in 2020-21. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel wreaked havoc on English batting line-up and went finished the series with 27 wickets in just three-test matches he played. Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamshala will host the five-match series between the two sides.
