Nathan Lyon terms ICC WTC final against India as 'grand finale'

Australia will play the Ashes against England right after the WTC Final against India.
Australia have two big upcoming assignments coming up for them in the next two months. It will start with the World Test Championship final against India at The Oval in England and then their main focus The Ashes. Australian media have their relentless focus on the Ashes over an all-important big WTC final against India. Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon has talked about the media's focus on the Ashes and their preparation, and chance against India in the WTC final. Lyon believes that Australia’s preparation for the WTC final will not be affected by all the talks going around the Ashes tournament.
WTC final against India a 'Grand Finale'
During Australia's practice session, the Australian off-spinner termed the WTC Final against India as the ‘grand finale’ and said, “Yes, we are playing the Ashes but we have got a big game that we are up for. This is our grand final, and then our season starts again”. Lyon also talked about Australia's planning for the big game and said, “That’s where we are quite happy with where we are at with our planning. We are able to understand what we have got around the corner and be OK. It’s exciting to be part of the final and it is special".
Talking about Ashes he further added, “I know every Australian fan is looking forward to the Ashes, and so they should be but they should also be excited about this game as well”. Australia have qualified for the WTC final for the first time in two editions. The WTC final is scheduled to begin on 7th June and the Ashes will commence on 16th June at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Australia are currently the urn holder with a dominating 4-0 win they got in the previous Ashes series held Down Under in Australia.
