Naveen Ul Haq reveals the conversation with Virat Kohli happened during IND vs AFG CWC23 clash

Naveen Ul Haq and Virat Kohli were engaged in an ugly spat during the IPL 2023 and put it all to an end during World Cup 2023.
Team India faced Afghanistan in their second game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Wednesday. This game took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and the hosts ended up winning it quite comfortably. It was expected of the Indian team to win, and they did it in grand fashion, winning it with 15 overs to spare.
However, more than just the game, cricket fans were eager to see the face-off between Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq. Notably, both of these stars were involved in an ugly spat during the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2023 in Lucknow. Gautam Gambhir was also involved in that, and it became so intense that the LSG skipper KL Rahul had to intervene in between to take Gambhir away.

However, what happened in the IPL on Wednesday was that there were some contrasting scenes. When the Afghan pacer came out to bat in the first innings and bowl in the second, fans started chanting Virat's name. When Naveen was fielding near the boundary ropes, fans were chanting "Virat! Virat!" But during the second innings, both stars were seen having a lighter moment, taking to each other, and smiling.
After the game ended, Naveen Ul Haq revealed the conversation he had with Virat Kohli on the field. In a discussion with PTI, the pacer said, "Crowd will chant for their home cricketers and that is what they did. It is his (Kohli's) home ground. He is a nice guy, a good player and we shook hands. It (what happened) was always in the ground, it was nothing outside the ground. People make it big. They need that stuff for their followers. He said (today) 'we are done with that and I said yes we are done with that. We shook hands and hugged."
Speaking of the game, batting first, Afghanistan posted a competitive total of 272/8 in the first innings. Jasprit Bumrah looked good and took 4/38 with the ball. Then Rohit Sharma smashed a 63-ball hundred and made 131 off 84 balls. Virat Kohli also scored another half-century in the chase and remained unbeaten on 54. India made 273/2 in 35 overs and won by 8 wickets.
