Nepal cricketer Dipendra Singh-Airee broke Yuvraj Singh's record for fastest T20I fifty.

On Wednesday, September 27th, Dipendra Singh Airee, a versatile batsman and all-rounder for Nepal, achieved a historic milestone. He broke the long-standing record held by former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh for the fastest fifty in T20 cricket history.

Airee reached his half-century in just nine balls during Asian Games match between Nepal and Mongolia, which was held at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou. Prior to this, Yuvraj Singh had previously achieved a fifty in only 12 balls during India's T20 World Cup 2007 match against England in Durban on September 19, 2007.

Airee, a 23-year-old right-handed batsman, batted at No. 5 for Nepal and showcased remarkable power-hitting, smashing eight sixes. He remained unbeaten with a total of 52 runs from just 10 balls. His exceptional performance not only contributed to Nepal's remarkable total of 314 runs for the loss of only three wickets but also set a new record for the highest team total in a T20 match.

Nepal Cricket Team achieves historic milestones

Nepal have etched their name in cricket history with a series of remarkable achievements. In a ground-breaking moment, Nepal cricket team became the first in T20I history to breach the 300-runs mark, amassing a staggering total of 314/3. Kushal Malla, one of the team's star players, made history by achieving the fastest T20I century in just 34 balls.

Equally astounding was Dipendra Singh's incredible display of power-hitting, as he smashed six consecutive sixes in the very first six balls he faced. But Dipendra Singh didn't stop there, he also seized the record for the fastest T20I fifty, accomplishing it in a mere nine balls.
