New Zealand Cricket Awards 2025: Full list of all award winners

Matt Henry was named New Zealand Cricket’s ODI and test player of the year.
New Zealand Cricket Awards 2025 were announced by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Wednesday, April 9. Many New Zealand cricketers were felicitated with prestigious awards for their contribution to the country across three international formats, as well as the domestic circuit
Among men’s players, right-arm pacer Matt Henry ruled the list by bagging multiple awards. The 33-year-old won the prestigious Sir Richard Hadlee Medal for the best men’s cricketer of the year. He also won the test and ODI player of the year awards.
Last year, Henry grabbed 48 wickets across nine tests at a stunning bowling average of 18.58. In ODIs, he captured 25 wickets in 17 games. He has also taken 24 scalps in nine ODI matches since the start of 2025 at a brilliant bowling average of 15.50.
Another Kiwi pacer Jacob Duffy won the T20I player of the year award. The right-arm pacer clinched eight wickets in seven games last year at an incredible economy of just 6.95. Since the start of 2025, he has got 14 scalps in six games at a bowling economy of 6.41.
Among women’s cricketers, Melie Kerr (Amelia Kerr) grabbed the limelight by winning the Debbie Hockley medal for the best women’s cricketer of the year. She also won the ODI and T20I player of the year awards. The Kiwi all-rounder has been in top form since the start of 2024-25 season, smacking 85 runs and eight wickets in three ODI games.
Last year, she captured 14 scalps and slammed 264 runs in nine ODIs at a batting average of 33.0. The 24-year-old star has been equally good in T20Is in recent times. Since the start of 2025, she has slammed 157 runs in three games at an average of 78.50, including two fifties. She also picked two wickets.
